GREEN TREES Asian Bodywork

This was my 4th visit and I had appreciated the massage everytime and recommended this place to our friends for their 1hr foot + 1 hr body massage deal for $95. And so today I brought two of my friends to enjoy that, after calling ahead to schedule. It did start off different, as they asked us to pay first, which I had never been asked on my prior visits, but I just assumed it was policy for 3+ people. But then they also asked if we wanted to tip first too. I stared at her confused and said no (why would I tip before a service?). My friends really enjoyed their foot and body massages, so that was good. But my masseuse had the front desk phone with her and it went off no less than 5 times, loud ringer, and I could fully hear the person on the other end. And she even stopped the massage to see to the front door twice too. So, of course, I did not find my massage relaxing with the constant interruptions, but I was happy to hear my friends enjoyed their massages. The reason I decided to write the review was because when we were about to leave, my masseuse demanded that I have to tip her. One of my friends had already tipped their masseuse, but I did not feel like my experience this time was worth the visit, forget about adding a tip to it. She then badgered my other friend, who was fine with tipping their masseuse $10, but then my masseuse started declaring that is too little and needs to give more. At that point we were like yeah, no, a tip is an optional gift, you don't bully your customers for tips for a massage they already paid for, and I mentioned this was not the experience my wife or I have experienced coming here before. On my prior visits I was just rounding up to $100 for myself or adding $20 when we did a couple massage and had never been harassed for more money. Personally, I think mandatory tipping is ridiculous and if they want to charge more, I would be more than fine with them putting a higher up front cost for the massage. But harassing customers for a tip is a definite way to lose customers and ruin the experience.

My most recent visit was incredibly disappointing. Although the lady who performed my one hour-long massage was polite and warm, she was somewhat aggressive with applying pressure to my shoulder, back and neck regions, despite me telling her to not do so. At the end, when it came to the payment, I was going to leave a small tip for her despite the really uncomfortable massage. However, when she and her colleague saw the tip amount, they were outraged and said that they accept “at least 20% tip.” I decided to give her a 12% tip because I could not justify giving 20%, but then when she saw the revised tip amount, she continued to give pushback and demanded for the 20%. She proceeded to pull out her calculator to show me what a 20% tip on a $63 massage would be, and calculated it to be $120 💀. I immediately refused and left the building. Overall, I will not be recommending this place like I used to before and will not be coming back. Since my massage yesterday, my body has been in constant pain and this is the first time I’ve ever had to take pain medications and apply a Muscle Rub ointment after a reflexology session.

I like peace and quiet when I'm getting my massage. They kept talking. My bf and I got 2 hrs (1 hr body and 1 hr reflexology) for $95. I told her soft but sometimes she went hard on my thighs. I gave them $15 each and she laughed in my face (Dawn). You're lucky I gave you anything at all. I'll give yall another $5 so I hope you enjoy because I ain't coming back. Reflexology was so soft and weak. The same damn motion over and over my 14 yr old can do better. And this was the reason why I was going to tip $15. Take a little drive and go to Angel Feet in southborough. They give you a stamp card and 10th massage is free!!. $99 for 2 hrs! Was giving this place a chance but they are not good and not nice!!! Who the hell laughs in someone's face when they're tipping you?!
